AbleFtp Windows Install instructions

This install has been tested on 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista (including servers)

Installing for the first time (new user of AbleFtp)
(Important: 256 color display required)
1. Click on the installer executable (ablef.exe) to install. 

Upgrading from 7.x
1.  Install 8.x using the default options. 8.x and 7.x can run together.
2) Version 8 is installed into a separate folder and start links are different from 7.x.
3) Use File menu / Convert 7.x data to import 7.x data.
4) Use the Chain to Visual Script converter to convert your chain tasks to Visual Script tasks.

Upgrading from previous versions 
1.  Windows users: If you are using the NT service, stop the AbleFtp NT service from the Service Control Manager.
2.  Backup your data from the File menu of AbleFtp (safety precaution).
3.  Shutdown the AbleFtp scheduler engine & user interface. 
4.  Click on the installer (ablef.exe) to upgrade
