| Title | Automize time is 1 hour off in TimeZones that have daylight savings time |
| Date Updated | 12/08/2005 |
| Versions affected | Automize 4.x+ |
| OS affected | Windows |
| Description | The Automize tasks run 1 hour off schedule |
| Causes | For regions that have daylight savings (summer) time change, java automatically adjusts the time by 1 hour to account for this change. Windows does not automatically adjust the clock for Daylight savings. Hence, Windows date/time display does not match the internal PC clock that java is referencing. |
| Solution | 1) Shut down the Automize scheduler engine (Green button). Then shut
down Automize 2) Click on the time in the taskbar to bring up the Date/time properties window (clock). This window is just a Microsoft clock program to set & display the actual internal PC clock. 3) Click on the Time Zone Tab 4) Select the 'Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings time' option at the bottom of this Tab dialog. 5) Your Computers time will now change by 1 hour. Please reset it back to the correct time. 6) Startup Automize. Check the Activity log. It should now correctly match your computers time. |
