Title Failed to start Scheduler Engine or Automize user interface
Date Updated 12/08/2005
Versions affected Automize 5.x+
OS affected All
Description 1) Automize user interface starts but scheduler engine does not
2) Automize user interface itself does not start
Causes Most common cause is corrupted task or schedule data files
Solution The data files are in the Automize / inputs folder.  The task data file is taskData.jsd.  The schedule data file is scheduleData.jsd.

Shut down Automize and scheduler engine.
Go to the Automize / inputs folder.
1) backup the file 'taskData.jsd'
2) delete the file 'taskData.jsd'
3) start Automize.

If this does not work, repeat the above procedure with the 'scheduleData.jsd' file.

Make sure that you always backup your Automize data regularly, either manually or using the Automize Auto Backup task.
