| Message | hello, I have a problem with a scheduled script (task.vbs) that does some routine maintence on my pc. This task is performed 4 times per hour and involves calling a .bat file. My problem involves mcafee stopping "task.vbs" from executing because it thinks it's a virus. What are my options? I don't want to disable my anti virus software from performing a much needed service. mark |

Hi Mark, You may have to specifically set the anti virus software to recognize the script as a trusted script. I do not have McAffee, and I do not know if this option is available in it. We use Symantec Norton Antivirus and it has an option to allow disallow scripts etc.. Stop this script: Prevents the script from running. Choose this if you do not trust the script source or the current script activity. Authorize this script: Lets the script run with no further Script Blocking alerts. Choose this option if you know and trust the script’s source. -- Sincerely, Hitek Software |
