Subject	how to schedule Chkdsk?

Message	We are currently using Automize to schedule video files for viewing over a TV system. We would like to schedule Chkdsk/f periodically to check and fix our hard drive. How do I set up this command in Automize and create a “Yes” answer to the Windows question “Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts?”  Thank you.
Reply1	Hi Sue,  Thanks for using Automize  1) You should check the location of chkdsk.exe. On my windows 2000 system, the location is c:\winnt\system32 Then use the Command task.  For the commandline enter:  chkdsk.exe /F  For the working directory, I enter:  c:\winnt\system32  2) create a “Yes” answer to the Windows question “Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? --  Unfortunately, I have no idea about how you would answer this question automatically. The command task allows you to set a maximum run time. It would close the dos window running chkdsk.exe if it was still running and waiting for above answer. -- Sincerely, Melvin Desilva Hitek Software
