| Subject | Running AbleFtp and Automize on the same machine |

| Message | Hi,
I've been evaluating Ableftp and Automize for my company over the last 2 weeks. It has been working beautifully this whole time until I shut it down and started it back up again. Now, I cannot transfer files and nothing shows up in the logs since I shut it down, except in the activity log where it says that it is running. I experienced this problem previously and I reinstalled the software, but I cannot keep doing that. If there is a reason for this problem please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

HI Matthew,
Thanks for using Automize. 1) The engine shuts down when you logout of the system. To keep the engine running all the time on system startup or on user logoff, use the NT service module. 2) If this is not the issue, then send us your data files as shown below regards, melvin desilva hitek software

| Reply2 | Hi, I came in this morning started up my computer and again Automize stopped working. When I try to run any tasks nothing happens. It tells me to check the log, but the only data in the log is that the engine started up. Also, when I try to look at the engine information under the 'scheduler' menu Automize freezes up, and I have to use windows to shut the program down. I experienced the same problem with able FTP. I attached the zipped input folder. Thanks for your help. |

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the files. I think this has something to do with having both AbleFtp and Automize running and both using the same port 1966. Do the following: 1) Log off the system and log back on. 2) Start Automize and go to the Scheduler menu / scehduler settings and switch the engine port to 1965. The engine will be shut down and you will have to restart Automize. Then try running the tasks again. 3) AbleFtp will be running on port 1966, so you can run AbleFtp and Automize simultaneously.. keep me informed if this does not solve your problem -- Sincerely, Melvin Desilva Hitek Software
