Subject Chaining Ftp and Email with dependencies

Message I'm currently running Automize 5.59 and was wondering if you could help me with setting up an FTP process that would send files and then verify that they were successfully sent. On a failure a resend would be attempted and an e-mail would be sent out and a log entry would be made noting the failure. On a success the log entry would be made with a success flag. Any help you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated.

Reply1 Thanks for using Automize. 1) Any fail transfer on an FTP task results in an exit code = 1. Other errors give exit code > 1. You can use this exit code information in a Chain task to rerun the FTP task. In a Chain task try the following:

Step 1 = Ftp task (lets say task title = ftptask) if exit code > 0, rerun task X times. If exit code <1, go to Step 100 (exit chain)

Step 2 = Email task to notify you that failure occured.

In this situation, the Ftp task will rerun till all transfers are successfull or rerun attempts are exceeded. You may also want to consider enabling logging and transfer modified files based on transfer log.
