User question:

How can I set up a task to continuously detect a file if it exists? We don’t know what time the file will exist we want the task to continuously listening to any changes in that directory; once the file exists the task should detect it and invoke another processing task.

We still would recommend a File Monitor task with the following settings:
Select option to run task if file exists.

Schedule the File Monitor task to run every 1-10 minutes depending on your requirements.
