user support request:

I am trying to decrypt three files.

It seems like when I use CRESCENT$%DATE::YYppdd%$*.txt.pgp in the Filename filed

This is only when I try to use the dynamic date variable and an * before the file extension as wildcard, there are three files have the same name “remove” except the last number before the extension so I am using an * as wild card. It does find the files but it can not decrypt them.

I also want to rename them, In the rename file field I have CRESCENT$%DATE::YYppdd%$*.txt

I get in the output log file:
Decrypt - ORCC_Decrypt - Decryption Profile = yyy

look at the help file for the Date variable and the Append To Filename fields

use the DATE variable in the append to filename field:
remove$%DATE::pp-dd-YY%$remove will append xxx12-20-2006xxx if it is run today.

what is your original filename?
are you using the Encrypt task or copy/rename task?
what is your required final filename?
