I would like to to build a custom code library for Automize which need Java 5.0 or higher. I wonder if there is any risks to use Automize in a Java version 5.0/6.0 environment. I've already mady some tests replacing the Automize JRE 1.4 with JRE 6.0. As far as I can see there is no problem for Automize to run with JRE 6.0.
Does anybody has some suggestions ore experience on this use case?

1) we have done very limited testing with java 5 and java 6 and did not see any problems.
2) there are a few users who use java 5/6 and have not reported any jvm related issues.
3) on macosx, 3 launchers are included: java 4, 5, 6 and users can use any one of them.
4) on windows , java 4 is used to keep the install file size reasonable. |
