Hello there.

I have a backup directory on my system. I have made some backups on that folder using the option File, Backup settings and logs.
Now when I try to restore those backups using File, Restore settings and logs I get the following output:

Backup directory exists on your system.
Folder verified: logs
Folder verified: schedules
Folder verified: settings
Folder verified: tasks
Folder verified: variables
Number of files copied 0
No data files (.jsd) were found in selected directory.

I'm using Windows XP SP3, Automize 8.14. The original backup was made with the same version of Automize.

Am I forgetting something here?

Thanks for any help.

there's just one empty file named "tasks.properties". And two folders, 2008 and 2009, that's correct. Because I had this two folders on automize to categorize my tasks.

Hi.
I have created a little complicated directory tree. Maybe this is the reason for the problem. Inside those two folders, 2008 and 2009, I have more folders, and inside that folders I have some files with content that look like this (in folder C:\backup-automize8\tasks\2008\Instaladores):

#TASK_DATA_FORMAT_7
#Tue Sep 16 10:24:22 BRT 2008
Task.PARAMETERS7=false
Task.PARAMETERS6=Schedule.MINUTE
Task.PARAMETERS5=1
Task.PARAMETERS4=VariablesTask.OLDER_THAN
Task.PARAMETERS3=false
Task.TASK_TYPE=TaskTypes.DELETE_FILE
Task.COMMENT=
Task.PARAMETERS2=Atualizacao^Instalar*2008.exe
Task.PARAMETERS1=Z\:\\BUILDER\\2008\\INSTALADORES\\
Task.PARAMETERS0=1_file_delete_exe
Task.TASK_TITLE=1_file_delete_exe
DATA_FORMAT=TASK_DATA_FORMAT_7
Task.PARAMETERS10=true
Task.PARAMETERS9=
Task.PARAMETERS8=false

Is this the task file you are talking about?
Can I send you a zip file with this backup? Its a 697 KB file. Maybe help you in finding some answer.

Thanks

No, the folder structure should not matter. We will look into this.

you can do the following.
shut down engine and user interface
manually copy the entire directory backup directory over .. i.e. replace the contents of ...Automize8\data with the contents of C:\backup-automize8

so the structure remains same and you should have atleast the following folders in the Automize8\data directory:
logs
schedules
settings
tasks
variables

Please update to 8.17. there was a bug in 8.13-8.16 which effected the backup/restore on some systems.
