The script seems fine to me. Even the response indicates binary and ascii modes are set for .tif and .xml respectively. Not sure what else could be the problem.
options:
1) try the FTP-j command task
2) chain a FTP task (for .tif) and FTP command task for (.xml and .mkr) |

FEAT is a command asking the server to list all the new features it supports.
for instance, if server returns MLSD in its feature list, then the client may use MLSD command instead of LIST command to get directory listing. |
