Hi all,
First off, let me say that I'm very new to this type of encryption and most likely making several key mistakes based on bad assumptions.
I'm using Automize Enterprise 8.37.
That said, I'm trying to setup Automize to decrypt a file that was encrypted in PGP Desktop 10.0. I have imported both the public and private keys from the PGP Desktop user into Automize with no errors.
I setup an encryption profile that has a method of "Decrypt" and points to the private key and includes the passphrase. (I can successfully decrypt this file using PGP desktop on my side with this key and passphrase).
Then I use the Favorites tab of the Encryption window and I navigate to the file I want to Decrypt and do a "Decrypt Now", point it to my encryption profile. Regardless of what I put in the rename and destination folders, when I check the output log I get the following error,
"No valid OpenPGP data found".
The file does not have a .pgp extension.
Any advice heavily appreciated.
Thanks,
AJ |

Hi Melvin,
I'll read that now.
The file in question was encrypted with the PGP Netshare feature of PGP Destkop 10.0.x using the same key pair that I am trying to use for decryption.
Thanks, |

With the same key pair, can you encrypt and then decrypt the same file from Automize? i.e. both encrypt and decrypt from automize? |

Hi Robert,
Got a chance to test this today. Yes I can encrypt and decrypt a file using Automize with the same keypair.
What do you think I should look at next? Thanks much. |

seems like an incompatibility issue between the Gnupg and PGP desktop 10. you could try creating a key pair in automize and then encrypt using that public key in PGP desktop. then decrypt using Automize. this will let you know if the key pair is the issue or the encrypt/decrypt algorithms. |
