User question:
Is there a way to get an email notification sent when Engine shuts down or fails and Service Monitor does not restart the service? |

Two ways:
1) Simpler way: Email yourself the activity log every 6-12 hours or so.
a) Create a Email server profile (settings menu / Email server)
b) Create a Email Logs task (New tasks button / Administrative folder / Email Logs)
c) Select Activity log
d) Schedule this email logs task to run every 6-12 hours or so. This way you get a top level update of the status every day.
if you do not receive this email , the engine is down.
2)More complex way: monitor the activity log using a File monitor task, running as an external process in Windows Task Manager.
