| A patch is now available for those running OS X Panther and corrects the DST problem. AbleFtp was 1 hour behind and OS X wasn't. But now when I start up AbleFtp, the JS Engine loads and sits in the dock. Do I need this running all the time? |

yes, you need the engine running all the time. Have no idea why it is in the dock though.. also have no idea why it is using java 1.5 instead of 1.4 on your system. Java 1.4 is supposedly the default for 10.3.9. We have all the latest updates (apple and java) and by default on 10.3.9 it uses java 1.4 for us..
We will update the 6.x macosx installers in the patch page to force it to use java 1.4. We will let you know today when it is ready..

Please see the bottom of this page for updated 6.x Macosx installers which should only choose 1.4.2. Hopefully it gets rid of the dock icon on 10.3.9 for you.
