|
|
Sirs,
I tried using JaSFtp on RedHat 5 and create SFtp task scheduler with the following setting:
Ftp option: Get files
Remote Dir : /home/user/remote
Local Dir : /home/user/local
Backup local/remote/use staging: all blank
Filename : *
Folder Filter : blank
Delete source file after transfer : (check)
I was quite wondering first, The scheduler can transfer the file from remote to local, but after that it NOT JUST delete the remote folder file, but also delete the local file(s), so it end up both remote and local folder got deleted.
After I read some posts on "Scheduler" forum, the problem solved with setting the "Synchronization option to: No overlapping task instances, No instances wait and slower the scheduler to run every 1 minute. The caused of the problem is I set the scheduler time too fast i.e: 1 second and didn't set the initial setup of synchronization options.
You have a great software, but it will be dangerous if both local and remote files got deleted because of scheduler time overlap. Why don't you set No overlapping task instances as the default ? Especially for new user might not realize that there is an synchronization option to set to make it work properly.
Thanks
SK. |

There is no setting and option in the task to delete the target file.
Only the source file can be deleted after successfull transfer.
I am guessing that the 1 second schedule you used, caused this issue in some manner.
Connection itself takes longer, so you should try scheduling every 15 seconds at the earliest.
This issue has not been reported before. I have added to our wishlist to look into setting the option to prevent overlapping schedules as the default. |
