Hi.

Currently using AbleFTP in a production environment for scheduled file transfers.

Once in a while it seems that the 'Engine' or 'Scheduler' stops working for no apparent reason.
No information is dumped to the logs, nor windows event viewer.

Runs as system service, sometimes also with the GUI open.
Synchronization configuration is set with 'Allow overlapping task instances'.

Do you have a maintanance task running nightly or every few days? If not, you should do that.

Ok.
I've set up a maintenance task as described in the help section.
Thanks so far.

Is this a common random feature ?

it is not common and occurs randomly. Users with higher frequency of schedules face this more often. depends on OS, system load etc.. but the maintanance task fixes this since a new fresh engine is restarted.

Same thing happened even though I added maintenance task.

Service was running standalone - no clients alongside.

Suddenly logging stops, and all work is suspended.
Stopping/restarting service does not fix the problem. ( Yes I confirmed that the process died. )
I have to manually open the gui and set engine status off and then on again to get things rolling.

Summed up we only have three tasks going on separate schedules - but still crucial to production.

Dumps have been taken of activityLog, debugLog and outputLog showing no changes since 30th of january.
Today's date is 4th of february. Can I send you these for reviewal ?

Thanks.
