I have a chain of tasks that require desktop resources such as opening Internet Explorer and sending keystrokes. The chain runs fine from within the Automize application, yet will not run in the NT Service correctly. It looks like the task will launch and complete in the NT Service, but does not deliver the results that the task would provide (download an audit file from a Citrix server to a local drive). Apparently, the Send Keystrokes task, which is at the core of this chain task, cannot run from the NT Service. Is there any way to get the chain of tasks on a schedule to run either by the Automize or NT Task Scheduler so that it will have desktop services that it needs without keeping the computer logged in all of the time? |

Use the Task Runner feature (utilities menu / commandline menu / task runner menu ). This gives you the commandline and working directory needed to run the task from batch file or windows scheduler.
Run the task using windows scheduler (control panel / schedule tasks) .
In a new scheduled task (windows scheduler), use the commandline, working directory that is provided by the Task Runner feature.
In windows scheduler, you can set the account, and only run task when logged on. |
