Greetings,

We are working on some test cases before presenting this software to our company to decide if whether or not we want to purchase a license for it. I am currently half way through our test case (looking good) but I am stuck at a specific Task and was hoping if someone can help me.

We are using the Windows command line task for this command:

C:\Extract\Jeff\java.exe -Xms256M -Xmx1024M -cp classpath.jar; brokerspecif icjobs.jeff_0_2.Jeff "--context_param directory=C:\Temp\FTM\Jeff\pgpOut" "--context_param fileDate=20100323" "--context_param fileType=Position"

If I run this command in command prompt (with the quotes outside the context parameters) it works perfectly fine. But I cant get it to work in Automize8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!
-J

To add more info, so far I've tried putting the whole command line in "Command line"

"C:\KRFSExtract\Jeff\java.exe" -Xms256M -Xmx1024M -cp classpath.jar; brokerspecificjobs.jefferies_0_2.Jeff "--context_param directory=C:\Temp\FTM\Jeff\pgpOut" "--context_param fileDate=20100323" "--context_param fileType=Position"

I've also enclosed the whole thing in quotes

""C:\KRFSExtract\Jeff\java.exe" -Xms256M -Xmx1024M -cp classpath.jar; brokerspecificjobs.jefferies_0_2.Jeff "--context_param directory=C:\Temp\FTM\Jeff\pgpOut" "--context_param fileDate=20100323" "--context_param fileType=Position""

and I've also tried putting everything after java.exe in the Environment parameters.

Under working directory I have:

C:\KRFSExtract\Jeff

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Are you using Automize as a service?
Same account to start the service?

We will be using Automize as a service. Right now I am just using the evaluation on my local computer before we decide to purchase the license(s).

The command I am trying to run is not a service, if thats what you're asking, its a Talend job that will be executed once everytime its hit.

I got it to work, I decided to use CommandLine instead of WindowsCommand, although I dont think this may have been the issue since its related to the executable. The command ended up being:

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms256M -Xmx1024M -cp C:\KRFSExtract\Jeff\classpath.jar; brokerspecificjobs.jefferies_0_2.Jeff "--context_param directory=C:/Temp/FTM/Jeff/pgpOut/" "--context_param fileDate=20100323" "--context_param fileType=Position"

Working directory:

C:\KRFSExtract\Jeff\
