Hi all

We're using the "Open Document" Task which worked fine for several weeks. Suddenly, the execution does not open the desired file anymore (path and filename are correct). The log file of the tasks returns status = 0 and the proper command line call to the "ShellExecute.exe" and the file. When we execute this command line call in a CMD box, it works fine. There is no entry in the debug log. The execution of the job shows the hourglass for a split second and nothing happens.
Restarting the engine or the entire server does not help.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Silvan

Hi

"Unfortunately" not. The engine has been started via Service from the very beginning and is running under the domain adminsitrator account, being the most powerful we have.
I also tried it with Local System account - no difference. Our tests we usually run from the GUI so I believe this action is under the user logged on to the machine?
As mentioned, a direct command line call to "ShellExecute" works fine under this user (local files, files on network shares, different file types...).
It's really weird. The Windows event log does not offer any information, either...

Best regards,
Silvan
