|
|
Hi,
I am in need of a scheduler to automate the calling of some HTTP asp (active server pages). They will be something like http://www.website.com/xyz/myasppage.asp
The action should be very similar to opening a browser and going to that page. What happens is the asp page does bunch of tasks like cleaning database, creating a report and emailing , etc. Is that possible with Automate.
2nd thing:
Also i wanted to know if it is possible to execute a asp page which refreshes a report and then that report is emailed to various people. If you would go to that webpage you will be able to see the report, but i need it to email that html content to various users. Is that possible?
3rd thing:
If a task fails does it send any notification email to the admin.
4rth thing:
can the admin control panel be accessible over the web, or is it a stand alone application.
Thanks in advance.

1. There is a Http task. It is a http request and response task, so it works with .html, .asp etc..
2) This task can download html page response provided by server. Not sure if it can do the report refresh etc.. But if the refreshed report is presented as a response, then it would be downloaded.
3) There is an email task
4) There is email notification feature for failed tasks based on exit code.
5) It is stand alone. Only Automize enterprise has remote access through a web browser. Fairly simple one with ability to run tasks or view logs etc.. |
