potential user question:
I'm looking for software that will automate a task. We have computers on our lines that accumulate data. I need software to take this data file, and email it using Outlook (Exchange) twice a day. Will this software do this? If so, is it easy to do, or is there script files I will need to create? |

Automize has an email task. It does not use outlook, but can pick up any file(s) from your system and email it using the smtp protocol.
1) In Automize, Settings menu / create a new email server profile. enter the settings as shown in outook: looking at the headers of your email the smtp server seems to be:
mail.xxxxxxx.com
If above does not work. You could consult your network admin for the correct value for the smtp server.
2) Create an email task and attach the data file. the email task can be scheduled. |

In outlook exchange , you can see the smtp server properties via:
Tools menu
Accounts menu
Mail Tab
Select Account and Click on Properties Button
Server Tab shows the SMTP (outgoing mail server) and POP3 (incomming mail server) properties
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field shows the name of outgoing mail server |
