This is a user submitted email support request:
how do we change where the users gnupg folder is? Currently it's set in their windows user profile and we'd like to make it be in the data directory. |

This can be changed using the environment variable GNUPGHOME.
Control Panel --> System --> Advanced --> 'Environment Variables' button --> System Variables list at bottom--> New Button.
Then enter (case sensitive):
Variable Name = GNUPGHOME
Variable Value = c:\program files\automize9\data\gnupghome
For AutoKrypt users:
Variable Value = c:\program files\autokrypt9\data\gnupghome
Then create a new folder called 'gnupghome' (probably case sensitive) in the data folder. You will have to manually copy all the keys / settings files from the old homedir to this new location and start up automize or autokrypt.
we will look into the possibility of adding a new option to allow the home dir to be changed/set from the user interface

after adding the GNUPGHOME value:
1) log off and then log back in for the settings to take effect.
2) If you are using NT service, then you should restart the service. |
