Task sequence to skip steps conditionally

Postby melvin » Thu Jun 19, 2014 7:46 pm

user support request:

I have created a text search task that runs first on a process. When it finds the words “No Records” it should not do Task 2 or 3 . I do want it to do the last task 3?
I can not find this

If the text search task finds a word, it will exit with exit code = –100.
In the sequence step options for the the task, set condition: if task exit code = –100 , go to ‘last task title’

if the word is not found it will run Task 2 and 3. If task 2 and 3 run, and you do not want last task 4 to run, then do the following:
in Task 3 step options, select option which says ‘sequence always stops at this step’.
