The Text Search task only supports search terms separated by ^ i.e. term1^term2 etc.. it does not support regex.

We will add Regex support for this search term field in the next update.

Actually, the text search task already uses regex. Multiple search terms are delimited by ^ by default , hence your Regex search fails.

if your regex search includes ^ , then choose a separator character other than ^.

You do not need to reference REGEXF or REGEXM

The search is on a line to line basis. Each line in the file is evaluated for the regex one line at a time.

If your search term and exclude term are on different lines, then you have to run 2 text search tasks. First task, search for the search term, second task search for the exclude term.

if the terms are found in both tasks, then the exlcude term exists.. if the search term is found, but not exclude term.
