Filename field does not support DOS like format.

Postby melvin » Fri Oct 11, 2013 9:01 am

User support request:

We have a FTP task where the filename is a variable $%filemask%$ = WMS*.*

i.e. In the user variable file
filemask=WMS*.*

And yet, two files starting with "-" character were transferred:
-WMS53233.TXT and -WMS5128.TXT

Any idea why this happened?

use regex format

The filename format required differs from the dos type format you entered.
Strings entered matches any part of the filename (not just at the start).
Please see the help file on filename format. (click on the $ sign next to
filename field in the Ftp task editor).

In this case you should use the REGEXF format. The variable value needs to
be:
REGEXF=WMS

this should pass WMS.... but not -WMS
