Append all files in folder to one file

Postby Tech Support » Fri Jan 29, 2016 10:07 am

User support request:
Is it possible to have the software combine all of the files downloading into one destination file (append)? This would save me from having to do it in a bat file after the fact.

Please do the following:

Directory loop task
Task title = loop
Directory = c:\downloads ( folder containing downloaded files)
filename field = (leave blank to append all files)
task to run = append
option = Run task if file exists

File Variable task:
task title = append
file path = c:\test\test.txt
variable name = $%FILE::LINE::MID::1::10000000::NEST-loop::FilePath-NESTEND%$
Filing options = Append at end of file
Select option: Before inserting variable add line

the destination file cannot be in folder containing downloaded files.
The destination file must exist before the File Variable task is run.
