try the exclusion clause at the start:

!RPS^PS*.xls

we will add Regex support to this attachment field in one of the next few 7.x patch updates. you can match almost any filename using regex.

I have added this to our wishlist.

actually, the attachment field automatically supports REGEX:
[DIR]c:\test[FILE]REGEXF=\APS

should only look for PS at start of filename
