Autokrypt: "Bad Passphrase" error trying to decryp

1) Are you using NT service?
2) Are you logged on locally to the machine as the same user who installed the software?
3) Did you switch user accounts to launch the software, since importing/creating the key?

1) The evaluation copy runs exactly as the full version , just that it runs for 30 days

2) NT service is installed via - engine menu / nt service module menu / nt service help file..

I assume then that you are not using NT service.

Did you import this key or create it new from the user interface?

just to make sure that there is no issue in the setup, create 2 new profiles:
1) Password based encryption
2) password based decryption

then create 2 new tasks based on these 2 profiles.

Test them. Does decryption suceed?

Glad it is working for you :D Though I am not sure why 1024 does not work. I remember doing most tests with 1024.
