Is AutoKrypt callable by another process?

Postby melvin » Mon Dec 08, 2014 10:07 am

User Support Request:
I have an automated process (hands off) that currently runs daily and generates a delimited file of test results and then sftp's that file to a client. I have a requirement to encrypt the file with PGP before the SFTP. AutoKrypt looks like it may solve my problem. I just had a couple of questions since I don't see a way to use it in a 'trial' mode:
1. Is AutoKrypt a stand alone application, or does it require Atomize?
and (if standalone) 2. Can I configure AutoKrypt to so that its 'callable' by my existing process?... i.e after the file is generated my process would call AutoKrypt with parameters to get the file encrypted and then my process would complete as usual by sftping the file.

AutoKrypt has a 30 day trial period with all features enabled. It is a standalone application. It has a ‘Task Runner’ feature (Utilities menu / Commandline / Task Runners). This allows you to run AutoKrypt tasks via the commandline, so it would be callable by your existing process. The only parameter it accepts is the Task Title.

So, you have to setup an encryption profile and configure all your parameters in the AutoKrypt task. This task has many options like filename filter, rename, append to filename, source/target backup, timestamp filter etc..
