User interface fails to start on Windows

Postby melvin » Thu Dec 19, 2013 9:46 am

On windows, the user interface fails to launch when you click on the desktop icon. It also fails to launch if you click on the automize.exe or jasftp.exe application launcher in the Automize10 or JaSFTP10 folder.

Try the following:
1. Right-click on the desktop icon.
2. Click Properties, and then select the Compatibility tab.
3. Under Privilege Level, select “Run this program as an administrator”, and then click OK.
4. Click on the desktop icon. The user interface should launch.

If it still fails to launch, the cause of this is generally the UAC settings on the system. To verify if UAC is the issue:
1) Turn off UAC (see below)
2) Click on the desktop icon again.

If the user interface launches, then UAC is the issue. You may have to turn off UAC or reduce the UAC level setting.
