Cannot change profile settings

Postby Tech Support » Thu Apr 30, 2020 10:12 am

User support request:
The mark in the box Send Email if Task Exit Code, even though saved, is not there when I reopen the configuration.
And I am not getting any mails.

If settings are not being taken, it is generally due to permissions issue:
Are you logged on locally or remotely?
Are you logged on using same account that installed JaSFTP? Same as service account?
Did you launch JaSFTP using "Run as admin"

User reply:
We are using a VMWare computer, logged on locally (on our domain) The logged on user is admin on the computer The SW was installed by this user, the service is started by this user JaSFTP starts automatically when the user logs on (computer is restarted with auto-logon every morning)

Please try:
Shut down JaSFTP user interface if it is running.
Then Start JaSFTP user interface using "run as admin"
Then try creating/editing the email notification again.

Do you have any problems creating new tasks? or editing task settings?

User reply:
That did it:
After starting JaSFTP "Run as admin" I could add the mark in the box "Send Email if Task Exit Code", save it and have it there after reopening.
